Ron-Woodruff-AttorneyRon’s law practice began and continues in the primary area of civil  litigation with a primary emphasis on personal injury litigation, worker compensation claims (both for employees and employers), construction litigation and employment law. Ron’s dedication to his clients and his profession is rooted in his desire to do the best that can be done. He takes great pride in his knowledge and wealth of experience based on his many years of handling cases both in and out of the courtroom.

Here is a snapshot of his practice:

Ron is a litigator. He began his career with Marshall, Williams & Gorham and he has never left. His practice started in 1977 as an insurance defense attorney handling virtually any case in which there was involved an insurance policy, whether it be defending a premises liability claim, an auto accident claim, defective construction claim or an assault claim. He then began a long running practice handling worker compensation claims. His skills were tested and perfected in a multitude of cases before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. He was certified in 2000 as a Board Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law by the North Carolina State Bar. Based on the breadth of his knowledge and experience in the field of workers’ compensation law, earned over a 30 year period, Ron has become a strong advocate for both the injured employee and the employer in southeastern North Carolina.  In addition to this employment related field, Ron has been able to offer guidance and counsel in other employment related fields such as contractual rights, terminations, discrimination and employer/employee rights.
